Flame On: Lighting up Your Television Dial with a Glass Bead Making Demonstration on WVIZ/PBS Applause.

Cleveland, Ohio; October 5, 2004 – Abbott Glass Designs artist Katherine Abbott recently recorded a television segment to air on WVIZ/PBS Applause. Tune in to Applause on October 14, at 7:30 pm, as Katherine transforms rods of colored Italian glass into molten designs. Watch as this red-hot glass emerges from the flame and is crafted into stunning glass beaded works of art.

Katherine sits down with the host of WVIZ/PBS Applause, Dee Perry, to discuss the art of glass bead making and give a quick lesson in working in the molten medium. According to Katherine, “being able to demonstrate the art of glass bead making on a show dedicated to arts and culture provides an amazing opportunity to share this art form with others in the community.”
